Overview

The DataLayer Inspector Chrome Extension is designed with privacy-first principles. It operates entirely within your browser and requires minimal permissions to function.

Data Collection

The Extension:

  • Does NOT collect any personal information
  • Does NOT track your browsing activity
  • Does NOT store any data layer information

Local Storage

The Extension stores only:

  • Theme preference (dark/light mode)
  • Data layer path configuration
  • Viewer position and size settings
  • Power state (enabled/disabled)

This data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API and is never transmitted anywhere.

Permissions

The Extension uses only essential permissions:

These permissions are the minimum required for the extension to function and do not enable any data collection.

  • No remote code execution
  • No external dependencies
  • Strict Content Security Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The latest version will always be available in the extension and the Chrome Web Store.
